Alongside the Singles Championship, we are pleased to invite entries for the 2026 UNGC Chapman Doubles Match Play competition.

This event brings a team dimension to match play and is played in the Chapman Greensomes format, where both partners tee off, then play each other’s ball for the second shot before selecting the best position and continuing with alternate shots. It is always a fun competition and a great excuse to partner up with another member for some competitive golf over the season, which also has a habit of producing some of the best memories and stories shared among members long after the final putt.

    Competition Information

All rules, format details and relevant information are available on the UNGC website:

United Nations Golf Club – Matchplay Rules

Spring is upon us once again, and with it the unmistakable return of golf in 2026. Fairways are calling, handicaps are under quiet negotiation, and if history is any guide, putts from three feet will suddenly feel like major championship moments.

So, it is indeed that time of year to dust off the rule book, reacquaint ourselves with the finer points of etiquette, and perhaps remind ourselves that “provisional ball” is not meant to become our most frequently used club. We will take a light-hearted look at new rules, tournament culture (pace of play, anyone?), etiquette, and everything that makes our club such a special place, on and off the course.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to come together as club members. To share a few stories (some of them even true), compare winter “training regimes,” and enjoy an evening of good food, good company, and the occasional tall tale about the drive that would have carried 300 yards… if not for the trees.

This year, we will be gathering at The Long Hall Pub & Kitchen, a fitting venue given our long standing partnershp, where we are sure conversations flow as smoothly as the drinks (don't forget to pay your tabs).

As customary, we will also be making the important Match play draw!

    Location:

    The Long Hall Pub

    Florianigasse 2, 1080 Wien

Be so kind and RSVP and make our lives a little easier, See you all soon!
