Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting was held on 11 March, from 18.00 to 19.00 at the OIDA restaurant. A big thank you to all who could make it. It was great seeing familiar faces as well as new ones. It's always a good time when golfers get together!

At our meeting we addressed issues that were left open from the 2025 AGM, reviewed the financial statement and discussed the upcoming season. A lot of wonderful tournaments and events to look forward to.

We elected the Executive Committee for the upcoming season and we said good-bye to two of our long time supporters. After many years of support and organization, match play coordinator Goeran Appelgren has turned over the reigns to Mathew Geertsten. Goeran will be truly missed, but we are lucky to have Mathew step in as coordinator this year. And our treasurer of 7+ years, Glenda Wolstenholme also stepped down. We will miss her patience and support for sure. Hopefully we will see them on the greens!

UNGC Indoor Golf - Winter Training II

We have reserved the entire indoor golf area at the Vienna Sporthotel for UNGC members on 5 March. We have 16 spots available so sign up as soon as you can! We need a minimum of 4 people or we will cancel the event.

Once you register please pay into the UNGC account 18.00 euros. This will give you 3 fun-filled hours of indoor golf with your colleagues, 4 to a box. If you would like to sign up as a group of 4, please say your group in the comments and ensure all are registered to play and are paid-up members.

Extraordinary General Meeting

An Extraordinary General Meeting was held on Wednesday, 15 May 2024, at 1700 Vienna time via Zoom.

As mentioned in the invitation to all members of the UNGC, this meeting was held in order to adopt changes to the Statutes which would allow the club to become a ‘Verein’ under Austrian law. This will enable the club to be in compliance for banking purposes.

At this meeting, all proposed changes were discussed as well as questions, comments and suggestions sent in by email from members before the meeting.

After some discussion and resulting amendments, the Statutes were approved by acclimation.

We will now move forward with the submission of these Statutes to the Austrian authorities and will keep the membership up to date with the progression.

Our UNGC Spring Golf Clinics are back!

Info: Held at GC Spillern with Dylan Bawden. Groups are small, with a maximum of 6 participants, to allow personal attention.

Price per session: 30€, to be paid in cash directly to the golf pro.

Registration: Sessions are open to all 2024 UNGC members, and you can sign up for as many sessions as you wish. For those that are full you can join a waiting list. Click here to see the available dates and register.

Rules Night

Thank you to Ric and Mathew for another successful UNGC rules night at Flanigan's Pub. It was a perfect opportunity to meet new members and say hello to returning ones. The evening was filled with lots of laughter and fun. And we all got to brush up on the rules of golf and pace of play. Let the season begin!

Our AGM took place on 6 March at the Sportcenter Donaucity with over 30 members in attendance. We reflected on the past season, reviewed the financial statement and discussed the events and changes for the season ahead.

The entire Executive Committee was re-elected for another term and Goeran Appelgren kindly agreed to be the Match Play Coordinator again this season.

Executive Committee Meeting
